Grand County Christian Academy, formally called Winter Park Christian School, first opened its doors to the families of Winter Park Christian Church in the fall of 2005. After a soft-start that first year, the school opened enrollment to the community at large. Following several years of research, experimentation, and prayer, the Classical Christian model of education was adopted. Our new building adjacent to the church opened in the fall of 2018. While Winter Park Christian Church is certainly the school's largest supporter, the Advisory Committee continues to build relationships throughout Grand County. In 2019, Winter Park Christian School became Grand County Christian Academy (GCCA) with the hope to expand our vision and fill our beautiful new space in the years to come. Read more about the name change here. In 2023 GCCA became accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Cognia. These accreditations are a testament to GCCA's commitment to providing quality education that is grounded in Christian values.
