About Us

Our Story

Grand County Christian Academy, originally founded as Winter Park Christian School, first opened its doors in 2005, serving the families of Winter Park Christian Church. After a successful soft launch that first year, enrollment expanded to welcome families throughout the wider community.

In 2018, GCCA moved into its beautiful new building adjacent to Winter Park Christian Church, providing the space and resources needed to support a growing student body. While the church remains our strongest supporter, our Advisory Committee continues to cultivate partnerships across Grand County, strengthening the school’s reach and impact. In 2019, Winter Park Christian School officially became Grand County Christian Academy, reflecting our broader vision for serving families throughout the county.

In 2023, GCCA earned full accreditation through both the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Cognia, a milestone that affirms our commitment to high-quality, mission-driven education rooted in biblical truth.

Today, GCCA continues to grow, guided by a deep desire to prepare students academically, spiritually, and personally for God-honoring lives of purpose and impact.

What Sets Us Apart

We understand that you want your child to grow into a confident, capable, and faith-filled young adult. But choosing the right educational path can feel overwhelming. You may wonder whether your child will be seen and supported in a traditional public school, or whether they’re receiving the highest-quality education possible.

We believe every Christian family should have access to exceptional, Christ-centered education. That conviction led us to open our doors in 2005, offering rigorous, thoughtful, biblically grounded instruction for students in grades K–12. Rooted in our Christian foundation and enriched by the awe-inspiring creation that surrounds us, our curriculum shapes students into wise, compassionate, and adventurous leaders.

As an ACSI- and Cognia-accredited school, GCCA meets high international standards for academic excellence and operational quality. Our graduates are well-prepared for the future, with credits that transfer easily and qualifications recognized by most colleges and universities.

We strive to provide each student with a strong academic foundation, spiritual maturity, and the character needed to thrive in every area of life.

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6

Give your child an education set apart.
